Dear Prayer Warriors.
Thanks for keeping my brother in prayer. Many have written and want an update. So here goes: He is started on 7 weeks of radiation and is also taking chemo.
He is requesting everyone to pray he will not become allergic to the Chemo, as they would have to stop it if he became allergic to the medication. His attitude is great and he says he has a ‘hold of the Lord’s hand and they will go thru it together.’ Thank you for the prayers. Linda Morrison
Phil Carty had some serious complications from his surgery. Please join in prayer for the Lord’s miraculous touch upon his life. See update from his wife Alison below.

This is Alison writing to let you know what has happened with Phil, as you know he had his hip replacement on Thursday the 17 July and made an amazing recovery and came out on Saturday. On Sunday he started to feel unwell and was experiencing diarrhea which progressively became worse followed by sickness and diarrhea going into Monday. We all thought it was a bug this including our Doctor Tuesday he was breathing difficulty and was experiencing several other problems. Wednesday morning he was rushed in hospital and was diagnosed with kidney failure. Then today, Thursday he had to have life saving operation to remove his bowel and the prognosis was not good. We were both told that if he did not have the operation he would have died within the next few days and this was the only course of action which could be taken was to remove his bowel and replace with stoma bag.
He had the operation today this afternoon and the surgeon reported the operation went better than expected and he was able to save some of the bowel which means Phil may be able to have the bowel reconnected in 6 to 8 months. Praise the Lord for all His Mercy and Grace. Phil stood by your verse you gave him from Ezekiel and was quoting it today before he went to theatre for his operation. We have been truly blessed by the support of friends and family and although Phil is not conscious yet (they are waking him tomorrow) he asked me write to you and let you know when we spoke before his op.
The surgeon believes it was a reaction to the Antibiotic which they gave to him when they replaced his hip which has caused all this problem. His life was hanging in the balance today and he is still not out of the woods, he has a long way to go and much adjustment and rehabilitation to encounter, but he has a fighting chance.
Both Becky and I are very tired from having sleepless nights for the last 3 nights and look forward to restful night with a better prospect for Phil.
Thank you for your thoughts, friendship and prayers which we value most highly.
Alison, Phil and Becky
Dear Prayer Team:
Wanda’s mother Norma has been taken off all life support and is now in Hospice in Fort Worth. I spoke with Wanda this morning and the time of Norma’s homecoming is near. Please pray for The Lord’s strength, comfort, and peace upon Norma in this time and upon Wanda and her entire family as they walk with Norma through this time. Norma is a wonderful daughter of our King and she is in His Hands!

Hi KirkWell everyone was astounded at the hospital so thanks to the prayer team. It was very scary going into surgery this time as they placed the braces on my back and front and locked me to the table and put the strapping round my right leg to dislocate it I had a real fear come on me and asked them to stop for a minute. My only thought was of the father of Tabitha rushing towards Jesus and the fathers servant telling him not to bother the master as his daughter was dead. Jesus turned to him and said fear not only believe. On that operating table at that at that time Jesus turned to me and said Fear not Phil on believe. So that what I did as the drugs took effect and I went to sleep. They got thing right this time they had discovered that I amCentrally Hypothermic which means I cool down at my core and its is hard to get my blood pressure back up to normal and the keep me awake, this time they used warmed fluids and I can round much quicker and with normal blood pressure. The surgery to 1 hour 15 mins and the surgeon said it went really well.I was up and walking by 6.00 pm on Thursday on a Zimmer frame, by 6.00 pm on Friday I was on crutches and by 2,00pm on Saturday I was on my way home. The x ray shows both sides are identical, they measured me and my legs have not shortened on either side and my pelvis is balancedWhen the Nurses changed the dressing they said they had never seen a wound heal so quickly or so welland the bruising is minimal compared to others they have seen. Thanks for the devotional it is a real Blessing, and please give my thanks to the prayer team. awesome job guys. We have a God that covets us and loves us more than we can imagine.I will let you know how the recovery is going it seems funny that my oldest hip is now on 15 weeks oldI'll take it steady Alison is with me this coming week and Becky the week after. Thanks again for your prayers and support we all appreciate it with all our heartsGod Bless you abundantlyRegardsPhil Alison and BeckyIn a message dated 17/07/2014 14:52:58 GMT Daylight Time, firstname.lastname@example.org writes:Phil:I have alerted our prayer team and we will be lifting you before The Lord for this surgery. We will be asking The Lord not only for a successful surgery and repair, but for a recovery that exceeds all doctors expectations. You are in the Lord's hands. May The Lord also direct the hearts of your employers to be favorable toward you during this time. I am attaching my devotion from this morning. I hope it encourages you.Blessings,KirkGOD IS ALWAYS IN CONTROL!II KINGS 6:16-17: "So he answered, "Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17 And Elisha prayed, and said, "LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see." Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha."OBSERVATION: God is always in control! As we go through trials and difficulties in our lives it is easy to become overwhelmed by the circumstances that surround us. Our natural inclination is to wonder whether The Lord is present. We are not alone in this feeling. When you read the book of Psalms you hear David crying out numerous times - "Lord, where are you?" This is exactly what the young man with Elisha was going through. The Syrian army stood before them. What could he and Elisha do against such numbers? Where was The Lord?Elisha had learned from his days with Elijah that The Lord is ever present. The spiritual realm is the true reality. When he prays and asks The Lord to open the young man's eyes he gets a glimpse of this true reality. The army of Syria was dwarfed in comparison to the Army of The Lord! Most of us never have this experience where we see the spiritual reality with our physical eyes. Yet, that does not make it less relevant and real for us. Jesus promised that He would never leave us nor forsake us. John writes in his epistle - "Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world." Hebrews records the reality that angels are God's ministering spirits sent to the aid of His saints. We are always surrounded by heaven's armies! God is always in control. So how should this affect my daily life? First, it should give me a sense of peace and confidence that The Lord is always watching over the affairs of my life. Second, it should call me to a posture of faith and patience. I do not need to try and "solve" things in my own strength and power. I need to commit them to The Lord in prayer and follow His leading. He is the one who will lead me through the valleys of life. He is the one who will lead me to green pastures, to still waters. He is the one who will restore my soul. As I learn to trust and obey I am always positioned for victory because I am allowing The Lord to stand before me in the face of every trial and difficulty. I truly believe this is what John meant when he wrote - "...And this is the victory that overcomes the world - our faith."Lord, help me to be still and know that You are God. Open my spiritual eyes to see the true spiritual reality. Keep me from presumptuous sins, from trying to win the battles of life in my own strength. Help me to trust, listen, and obey as You lead me into Your victory - Oh Lord of Heaven's Armies! In Jesus Name!

All went well with her surgery and praise the Lord it was all benign. We are rejoicing with her and all of her loved ones that God has once again been victorious and all sufficient in her life. She still needs prayer as she is allergic to Morphine and will be needing pain treatment with lesser strength drugs. Terry

My brother, Jerry Lane, called last evening to say the doctors have seen the results of his MRI with growth near his brain. The team of doctors he is seeing choose to have him take chemo and radiation therapy for 2-3 months prior to surgery. They want the tumor to shrink, so when they go in they feel they have a good chance to get it all. He does have more appointments and doctors to see the rest of this week. He will be starting chemo and radiation soon.
I told him this is a good thing because it gives the LORD more time to work. He is still positive and agrees. Please keep him in your prayers and I will keep you up dated.
Be blessed and be a blessing, Linda Morrison
Please pray for my brother, Jerry Lane. He has a squamous cell cancer on his left cheek that has involved the bone under it. He is having a 12 hour surgery on Thursday to remove it and rebuild the face structure at Brooke Army Medical Center. He is a believer in the Lords healing power. Thank you. Linda Morrison
Dear Lord, I know You were with Corbin in and during his emergency surgery. We ask for continued healing and quick, painless recovery in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Strengthen Corbin and cover him and family in Your peace. Amen!
